LET’S TALK TRACEOLOGY!

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to participate in our workshop titled “Let’s Talk Traceology! Cross-Cultural and -Contextual Perspectives on Use-Wear Analysis of Specialised Copper-Based Artefacts”, which will take place at the 10th World Archaeology Congress (WAC-10) in Darwin, Australia, from 22–28 June 2025.

Our workshop aims to create an platform for researchers to share and discuss approaches, methodologies, findings and insights in regards to the use-wear analysis/Metalwork Wear Analysis of copper-based artefacts across various cultural and contextual settings.
Details:
Workshop Length: 2 hours
Presentation Format: 15-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
Number of Presenters: Approximately 6 presentations.
Participation Options: You are welcome to present either in-person or online.

If you’re interested in participating, kindly email us a short abstract (max. 250 words) outlining your proposed topic by March 9, 2025. Please also let us know whether you plan to contribute in person or online.
In the case of receiving more submissions than we can accommodate, we will review all abstracts to curate a diverse and balanced program. As all workshop participants must be registered for WAC-10 in Darwin, Australia, we will inform you of our decision by March 17, 2025, at the latest.
